Itinerary
(Day 1): One of our guides will take you to the airport to provide assistance at the airport.
Early departure from Guayaquil to the Galapagos Islands. Arriving at Baltra Airport, a Naturalist Guide will be waiting for you there to begin your adventure. We will take a boat through this shallow water channel that separates the islands of Baltra and Santa Cruz.
Take private transportation to our first stop.
You will visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz to visit a farm where giant tortoises can be found in their natural state. Later visit the lava tunnels. And lunch on a farm.
(Day 2): Acclimatization Day: Breakfast at your hotel and then a 1.5-mile walk along a cobblestone path that passes through a Palo Santo and cactus forest with some shy lizards, which will take you to Tortuga Bay; one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago. With two beaches to enjoy: One with rough waves and turquoise waters, the other a quiet cove. In the afternoon, a leisurely stroll through the city.
(Day 3): The luxury catamaran we work with is waiting to take you to Bartholomew Island. It seems that wherever you go in the Galapagos Islands, you will see a picture-perfect view in all directions, especially on Bartholomew Island. The most photographed of all these postcard views of the Galapagos is undoubtedly the view from the top of Bartholomew Island. Make sure to bring your camera and snorkeling gear! (maybe you can dive with penguins)
(Day 4): Depart and visit “The Twins”, a lava formation in the highlands of Santa Cruz. Transfer to your hotel in Guayaquil.
This is a tailor-made trip, it could be extended to a longer experience.

Galapagos Islands, a real excursion

Itinerary
(Day 1) Chocolate farm & City Tour
Early in the morning we travel through the countryside near Guayaquil.
We’ll go to a farm in the morning to watch and learn about all the processes of the Cocoa bean plantation from the beginning until it is ready to be exported or to be used to make chocolate. (Ecuador is one leading producer of high quality cocoa in the world).
From: seed – plants – through graft – harvesting – drying in the sun – roasting – until obtaining cocoa paste.
Exhilarating, wonderful sensations from beginning to end because the flavors you’ll discover here will make your brain look for great moments. . . this one sure will be kept in!
This is the part where you just feel like a choco-dream came true: You’ll do chocolate with your hands!
In addition to a traditional lunch in the cottage in the actual cacao farm, we will enjoy a chocolate tasting and how to make chocolate bars with our own hands. Yes, more chocolate!
After this experience, we’ll find a city that emanates kindness and commerce everywhere, but also the history of an uncommon Independence that was born here. Many anecdotes and stories of all kinds, come with me to know about them from a local!
All flights going to the Galapagos Islands depart exclusively from Guayaquil and also return to Guayaquil first, which offers travelers the opportunity to explore the city and its surroundings.
(Day 2): Transfer to the airport. One of our guides will provide you assistance at the airport.
Early departure from Guayaquil or Quito to the Galapagos Islands. Arriving at Baltra Airport, a Naturalist Guide will be waiting for you there to begin your adventure. We will take a boat through this shallow water channel that separates the islands of Baltra and Santa Cruz.
We are going to take a bus and the short ride (10 minutes) will take us through the remnants of the before mentioned military base, there are several Galapagos Land Iguanas and yes when we were walking from the airport to the bus, we might have come near some Galapagos Darwin Finches.
The ride ends at the edge of a precipice with your first breathtaking view of the Galapagos islands turquoise waters.
We are going to take a boat across these shallow waters canal that separates the islands of Baltra and Santa Cruz.
Once in the northern most end of Santa Cruz we will take a private bus that will drive us to our adventures.
According to our flight itinerary we will have a short adventure in Santa Cruz Island then at 3:00 p.m. We will transfer the group to Isabela Island (a two hours fast-boat trip).
We will arrive in time to check-in in our hotel and then stroll around town to enjoy a peaceful afternoon by the shore until sunset
(Day 3) Volcan Sierra Negra. Excursion to one of the largest calderas in the world
Today’s the adventure involves a long walk whose reward is a landscape that will leave us breathless and without words to describe it. A bus will take us to the foothills of the Sierra Negra Volcano. We start an ascending walk towards the crater of the volcano (5km) later we will be at the very edge of one of the largest calderas on the planet.
We start a walk then we continue with a descending walk of 3km to reach Volcán Chico: In this place, we are going to admire an overwhelming landscape: On the one hand we are between lava rivers, on the other from a viewpoint we can see looking north : Elizabeth Bay, Alcedo Volcano, Darwin Volcano and Ecuador Volcano and a little to the west Fernandina Island with its homonymous volcano. At the Chico volcano site you can see fumaroles and sulfur flows.
Afternoon free time to spend at the beach and rent a kayak or Stand-up paddle board.
(Day 5) Isabela Tunnels. One of the best snorkeling sessions ever
We’re visiting The Tunnels of Isabela a gigantinc lava flow from Sierra Negra Volcano that reached the ocean many thousands of years ago, the result was an area where the lava tubes and flows have been partially destroyed by the erosion of the ocean underwater tunnels and caves, these incredible lava formations are an awesome place for shallow water snorkeling through underwater tunnels once again in the company of Sharks, penguins, turtles.
Truly one of the best snorkeling places in the whole archipelago .
Afternoon transfer to Santa Cruz Island
(Day 6) North Seymour. Bird island and swimming with sealions
We will enjoy a morning with many birds, depending on the time of our visit we will see the courtship rituals during mating season, or the nesting season, it does not really matter, there will be always a show for us. Blue Footed Boobies, Frigate Birds, Lava Herons, Night Gulls, Plus Land Iguanas, Marine Iguanas, Sea-Lions will we seen as we walk around.
But this does not end there!
We will cruise towards Islote Mosquera and there we will enjoy a snorkeling session with sea-lions and enjoy a little time at this gorgeous white sand beach. Before returning back to our catamaran for lunch and then return home to Santa Cruz. .
Night:
We will have our farewell dinner in one of the many reaturants by the sea on Puerto Ayora.
(Day 7) Last excursion. Visit the Tortoises farm, lava tunnel & transfer to airport
All good thing must come to an end, an early wake up to ready drive back to airport to fly back to Guayaquil.
On our way we will continue squeezing as much as we can of our time with a visit the Tortoises Farm where the famous Giant tortoises that give their name to the islands live.
We will walk towards and area with grass here, and be around among these creatures
After this we’ll visit another place where we will learn about volcanoes; The Lava Tunnels. These natural formations are amazing. (yes, this will really close the circle with all things learned on Isabela island.
After this we will continue the drive towards the airport.
Inside the airport, you can buy souvenirs from some brands that help to foundations for the conservation of the island.

Why do we give you a Tour Guide in the beginning?
Your tour guide will assist you during the three stages of the process (yes, there are some special things that we must do going to Galapagos).
Buy the Transit ticket a ticket of $ 20 that we must keep until we return.
You have your luggage inspected because no fruits, vegetables, or biohazard animals are allowed.
Also, make sure there is no mud on the soles of your shoes if you had an excursion before.
The flight to the Galapagos Islands takes 100 minutes.
Upon arrival you have to walk through the migration area, stamp your transit ticket and pay the GALAPAGOS NATIONAL PARK FEE $ 100 in cash for foreigners that are not part of the Andean Pact, so be sure to bring that money in cash from the city you are.
